Hello, I am somewhat of a complete noob to networking, so please exuse me if this is a stupid question.

My Problem: I want to be able to access files and printers of other computers connected to my WRT54G through a wireless/wired connection (some computers connected via cable and some via wireless)... I have no clue how to do this. I have 2 windows xp computers on my network.... a third one will be added soon. (i did some searching and I found some tuts on something about adhoc, I'm not really sure if this applies to my situation)

    NETWORK CONFIG:
    Cable modem
    |
    |
    WRT54G
    | |
    | | XP computer connected via wirless G connection
    |
    | XP computer connected via wires

ALSO.... I have a couple of linux computers... It would be cool to have them also connected, but if that adds another confusing factor of os crossover then I would rather not mess with it for the time being...

PS my firmware version on the WRT54G is v2.02.7... (does this need to be updated)

    Thanks for helping me...

To just set up simple file sharing on the computers (Windows), all you have to do is set up shares on each of the PC's. And if your going to use Network Places, make sure you have each computer on the same Workgroup so you can easily browse to other computers. if you have problems with that you can connect to the shares of the other computer by typing in its IP addresss like \\192.168.X.X\
