HDD size limit?

    Is there size limit for attached usb hdd?

    Yes/No it depends of which file system you use.

    Firmware: Tomato by Shibby v106 BT-Vpn, Router: RT-N10U.
    I ordered WD 3TB external HDD. I would format it as ext3. I'm not sure if it will work.

    Better buy pogoplug as NAS

    It will work without doubt but too slow accessing speed. That is why better use pogoplug as acting NAS.

    There is no much choice of NAS hardware in my country so I had to go this way. Are you sure that it would work?

    Yes. Tomato FW supports 3TB. I'm using 2 CF cards instead of hard disk, mounted on USB powered HUB.

    Anything over 2 TB is hit or miss. It depends on your USB enclosure, and on the hardware sector size. Some enclosures work, others don't. For instance, my Nexstar doesn't work properly under Linux, not even my Ubuntu HTPC.
