    Hi,

I am trying to find a good network camera. I will used it hardwired to my LinkSys router. Is there anything I need to do to make it work with my WRT54GS other than plug it in? My Cable ISP is a dynamic ISP.

    Any hints?

Any recomendations on a good network camera with sound and Pand and tilt? I have been looking at the Sony and Panasonic models.

    Thanks guys.

For the price, I'd highly recommend the Panasonic BL-C10A (I have one); however, it doesn't have sound. The next Panasonic models up such as the BB-HCM110 or KX-HCM310 would probably suit you.

The controls for the Panasonic cameras are very similar. You would have to set a port to access the camera and then forward that port on your router to your camera's IP. Pick a port that isn't infested by trojans or P2P programs.

Also you must have a DDNS service such as DynDNS.com that will keep track of you IP. You register a web address with the service and then they link that address to your ever changing IP. Either your router or a program on your computer will keep the DDNS service updated when your IP changes.
