help chooseing a router

    hi i had a microsoft 802.11 b router that broke so i had to get a new one so i had purchased the linksys wrt54gs but is the wrt54gx any better or am i better off just keeping the wrt54gs. Also i have a another question since the wrt54gs has speedbooster and for one of my computers i have a old microsoft usb adaptor and i want to put new one on it should i buy one that has speedbooster or no speedbooster and also will it make a differerence if i buy a usb wireless adaptor instead of a pci adaptor. Also is there better signal on the usb or pic card. Also will high gain anntanns help? i am trying to get the best singnal because i have a 2.4 codless phone set that i can not get rid of.

    tbh the WRT54GS is atm the best option since you have 3rd party firmwares for it. maybe in time the WRT54GX will have a few 3rd party firmwares but the price of the unit would make it not worth the extra price
