I have just acquired a Linksys WRT54GL v1.1 router that had open wrt (white russian 0.9) already installed.

I want to install Tomato 1.28. What is the best way to do this?

    Options:
    1) Do firmware upgrade from the web UI of open wrt?
    2) First upgrade to Linksys FW from web UI of open wrt and then install Tomato?

Is it possible to go from open wrt direct to Tomato?

    TIA.

    Yes it works

I installed Tomato over OpenWrt 10.03. Worked perfectly. You need to use the tomato.trx file, not the bin-file.
