Hi everyone. I have a WRT54G and flashed it with DD-WRT firmware (downloaded from this site), and I want to flash my AP back to its original firmware (3.3) but it doesnt work now. Please help. Thanks in advance and good day to everyone.

    Me too

    I have the same problem. Changed from dd-wrt-standard 23 to hyperwrt 2.1b1_g. I have a WRT54G v4.

Do you have the "linksys-tftp" program? I think I originally got it here. WIth it you just make sure you're hardwired, set your IP to 192.168.1.2, run linksys-tftp, type "bin" to change to binary mode, and "put firmware.bin password".

If you are running XP tftp is already available. You should be able follow notanatheist gave you and simply replace linksys-tftp with tftp.

I haven't tried this myself, but I know that with several of the 3rd party firmware you need to use this method to flash.

I tried searching ftp.linksys.com to see if the program was available. I did see some other TFTP programs for other routers, but not for the WRT54G. It might be there and I just didn't see it.

No problem here with WRT54GS v2.0, going from DD-WRT back to orig Linksys

Is there a problem for the WRT54G users?
