I'm a dd-wrt newbie running dd-wrt on a WRT54GSv2.2. I'm looking to make VoIP take priority over everything else. I have one wired computer and 3 wireless computers on the network plus a Grandstream 496 ATA. I live in a remote area and the download and uplink speed vary between 50 and 125 kbps (yes, they are approximately equal). Initially, I set upload and download on the QOS page to 90 based upon a very rough average of 100 kbps (even though the variations seem to be continuous. The VoIP then became unusable (ie, choppy). I should also say that I set netmask priority to Premium at: 192.168.2.105/32. Don't really understand why the 32 is there but the WiKi seemed to suggest it? Everything else is defaulted (ie, standard). When I disable QOS, the VoIP becomes usable again. Any and all suggests appreciated. Please see the attached screen shot for all settings.
