Help With Alchemy and MS IAS Radius Server! PLEASE!

I have a WRT54G 2.2 loaded with Alchemy pre7. This is just going to be an AP for a small conference room area. No routing or internet access, just a wireless connection to the network. I already have an MS IAS radius server set up for my dial up VPN clients. I just want to set up Alchemy to point to the server to authenticate valid domain users from my AD, just like it does for my VPN users. As far as I can tell I have it set up in my Alchemy config properly, basically just pointing to my IAS server with the proper shared key, and I think I have it set up correctly on the IAS server, but Im not sure. Its just not working, I dont have access to the network when connecting with a client. Im sure I dont have the client and/or IAS server configured properly. Is there a tutorial somewhere that will show me how to properly configure configure my clients, IAS and alchemy to work properly together with WPA or WEP and all that jazz? Thanks!

I am actually not a card-carrying member. I havnt paid the subscriptions fees yet. I want to see if this will will be the working solution that I need first before I decide to go with it. Unfortunatly, sveasoft is unwilling to offer any assistance unless I do pay its membership fees first, but there is no way I will do that until I know this will work for me. So I am forced to look elsewhere, this being one of those few places.

Then I suggest registering your card and you will find a post (sticky I think) that is exactly what you are looking for. I can't remember the member who posted it but I had asked if he could create a "how to" for this specific configuarion, IAS radius authentication. These instructions have been confirmed by other members that they do in fact work if you follow them. Look in the pre-release support section and you will find it. You will only get questions answered there for Alchemy as it is not a public release yet.

So basically you are saying that you are positive that it will work for me? If thats the case then I will probably go ahead and pay the reg fees to get the support. But before I do I need to feel pretty confident that it will work. I browsed through almost 100 pages of the forum posts that I am allowed to view and found not one post or comment that anyone is using the sveasoft firmware succesfully with MS IAS server on win2k. All I could find were posts on using other freeware or linux based RADIUS servers, which I have no interest in using. What I need is for poeple within my organization to be able to connect to the WRT54G WAP and authenticate with their network logon (AD) credentials to gain access. Are you positive this is what I will be able to do with the sveasoft software and MS IAS?
    Thanks

One more thing. Will this tutorial thats only available to subscribed users show me how to properly configure my MS IAS server to do what I need, or is it only a guide for the alchemy config? I hope its the first because the Alchemy config is pretty darn basic. Im pretty sure my problem lies with the config on the IAS server.

It is only available because it is pre-release firmware you are using. Hence only members are supposed to have the file let only received support. If you want the answers your only choice is on the sveasoft forum. This is a forum for Satori related support not Alchemy. To answer your question in short, yes it also includes what to set on IAS side not just the firmware.

I am now a "Card Carrying" member at sveasoft, so I'll check the doc you suggested. Thanks for your help.
