I'm trying to use the FTP server in my router as opposed to the one in the mybooklive, as I don't like the way it handles permissions and accounts. What I want to do is mount the shared partitions on the mybooklive to the router and then access them from the FTP server within tomato. Is this possible? I have my mybooklive setup with a static ip address: 192.168.1.82. In windows I just type \\192.168.1.82\Music to access my music. How/where would I mount this to the router?

In addition to this, would I be able to setup a VPN or something so that my cousin could access my MP3s as a network hard drive and play them at his house?

    CIFS client?

Hmm, I think I might have figured it out. I used the CIFS client to mount \\192.168.1.82\Music and then created a user in the ftp of the router with read only access to \cifs1. I'm downloading files to my laptop to test things out and running 90% cpu, is that normal? I'm hoping it won't be as demanding when my cable's 1.5Mbit upload speed is used as opposed to me on wireless.
