I have a WRT54GL r1.1 Firmware Version : v4.30.7. I reinstalled Windows xp on a workstation and using DHCP the workstation grabbed the same IP address it had before but it cannot see the internet. Ipconfig shows the DNS addresses and I deleted the entry in the DHCP table and released/renewed but the workstation grabs the same IP it did before and although it can see/ping the router and other machines in the workgroup it does not see the internet. Switching the browser offline/online again sometimes produces a brief connection but not for long. If I give the workstation a static address outside the DHCP pool it seems to work fine. I have no firewall rules or restrictions except for default stuff. The router table may be remembering the IP/MAC address combo but I can't figure out why there is no internet connectivity. When nslookup is run on the workstation it reports the DNS server addresses but says no server information is available. Anyone have an idea why this is happening?
