    Hi,
i've had a WRT54G for a few months working fine (wired and wirless connections) with a cable modem.

I've now moved and have just got ADSL installed and bought a linksys AG241 gateway and i'm having problems getting the WRT54G to act as a router.

I can browse the net by connecting to the AG241 (cat5) and I can connect 2 PCs together wirelessly using the WRT54G, but I can't use them together

I'm not sure how to setup the WRT54G as I just assumed it would work with the ADSL gateway as the cable modem had.

    Anyone got any ideas?

At the moment there is no domain name in the WRT54G and on the status page it says it's invalid, can anyone tell me what this should be?

Also both boxes are using 192.168.1.1 as default but I assume that is on different parts of the network so doesn't matter?

    Any help gratefully appreciated

EDIT: also there is no hostname set, the configuration is set to "automatic DHCP" and the firmware version is 1.00.1 (20th Sep 2005), not sure what hardware version though.

Oh and i'm in the UK :)

    setup as follows:

    AG241

    IP 192.168.1.1 (DHCP enabled)

    WRT54G

    IP 192.168.1.2 (DHCP disabled)

Plug a cat5e cable from lan port on AG241 to lan port on WRT54G. (do not use the WAN port.)

    all should work fine now.
