HGA7T and power hack

I got the new linksys high gain antenna for my WRT54G v1.0 router and was wondering if the power hack (using Satori-4.0 v2.07.1.7sv) does anything to make it even more powerful or does it actually make it worse, what I mean by worse is the antenna's power/gain or what ever, or should I use linksys official firmware for there antennas?

Use of the high gain antennas from Linksys should not have a negative impact on your Sveasoft settings. Problems with antennas are typically caused by a SWR issue with the actual transmitter hardware. Unless the Sveasoft firmware would somehow modify the transmitter impedance characteristics, (very doubtful) it should not have an impact. There also some small chance that the high gain antenna could not handle the increased power output but unless you are running the transmitter power way out of spec that's unlikely as well. If you have concerns I would step up the tranmitter power gradually and test at each increment.

Would appreciate any posts on your testing results.
