Hosts File inside router (vice in the OS)

Is there an efficient way to maintain a "blocked hosts" file inside the router?

I use this one on 2 Windows machines, and one Linux machine: Blocked Hosts

I'd rather maintain this file on one router, vice 3 desktops.

I tried to edit the file and cut/paste it into the blocked websites section of the WRT54 setup, but it was too labor intensive. I'm not even sure the list would fit. It is rather large.

Would any of the various firmwares help?

Does a better hosts file exist for this purpose?

Is there a hosts file that that is NOT in the format "127.0.0.1 name" that could be cut/pasted into the router?

    Any ideas?
