I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but I'm giving it a shot. I've been approached to provide a wireless HotSpot solution for a hotel. The hotel has 42 villa style rooms which are spread apart over a pretty wide area. I'm not sure of the EXACT area but I should have that information soon. I would like to provide a solution where a user can connect to the wireless and have some way of authentication (on checkin they get a code) over a webpage which comes up when the browser is launched. I know that this is pretty standard on how hotspots work but the integration into the billing system will be the tricky part correct? I've looked into the DD-WRT firmware for the WRT54G routers and it could provide what i need for this project. However the wireless coverage might not be enough and i don't think having that many repeaters is going to be a viable solution. Maybe an Enterprise solution such as a product from Nomadix is better? Finally, with the wrt-54G router, there also needs to be a webserver for the authentication correct? thanks a lot for the help.
