How about NTFS (read only) on the WRTGL54GS?

I just found this in the users guide in the FAQ:

What kind of file system can I use with the Router?
The Router supports read and write access to FAT32 file systems, and it supports read-only access to NTFS file
    systems.

I can't even get read access to my NTFS (non-compressed) file system (I've tried 2 differenet USB drives that work fine under WinXP). When I Create the Share, it sees it as "FAT". When I connect to it the file names are garbage. Has anyone been able to get NTFS read only to work?
