Basically I just want to be able to telnet into my DSL modem @ 192.168.1.254. My LAN is 192.168.44.0/24. My modem is in bridge mode with Tomato doing pppoe. Can I just add a static route instead? Not sure exactly how to accomplish this. I can do it with my PC simply by having a static IP on my NIC 192.168.1.x. pppoe still works fine over this.

    -thx

Thanks for the tip. I ended up doing something similar via a thread I found pertaining to DD-WRT. I have to ssh in to the router and then telnet from there, but I can handle that.
