How can i block Spotify

    Hello ,

    i want to block or limit very much Spotify , it takes all my bandwith so it needs to be blocked somehow .
    Can some1 help me plz ..
    Running Tomato Firmware v1.25.8025 .2-RAF STD

    Indeed, blocking the control port/ip of a centralized p2p app will kill it. I think spotifies lack of p2p controls (considering some of the uTorrent team worked on it) is to prevent those that cannot configure a p2p client breaking things, like say choking the phone line.

    It is p2p though, so provided your qos is correctly setup it shouldn't effect other traffic (and you've got mac limiting too). By taking up all the bandwidth do you mean uses allowance/cap?

    With taking up all bandwith i mean , when loading a song it takes all bandwith (5/1mbit) .
    So i need to either block it or limit it well , i tryed with limiting the ip adres given to the pc , but that dont work so good ..
    But ill have a look into the link toastman provided ..

    Spotify may be trying to sync a playlist to be offline. Right click on playlist > Available Offline in Spotify
