It worked with another D-Link Router, by setting the WAP54G with similar setting with the DLink and saving the setting. Then go to AP mode and try Access poin client and site survey to get the MAC address of the D-Link. See thread: http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=8287

The only problem with Access Point Client is that no other wireless device can access the WAP54G.

The WAP54G is not guaranteed to work with any othe rmanufacturers wireless routers. In fact in only works with a limited number of Linksys routers and access point and only if they appropriate firmware versions. First I would have the WAP54G and your D-LINK flashed with the latest firmware. That is version 3.03 for the Linksys. Do this only using a wired connection and after you you rest the units to their factory defaults. You have to set the WAP54G to the same channel and SS-ID as your D-Link and save the settings. The D-LINK must have SS-ID broadcast enabled. Change the encryption to match the D-Link. I would use a minimum of WEP. WPA and WPA2 may not work. You have to go to the AP mode selection on the Web client and select Bridge Mode and enter the MAC Address of wireless part of your D-Link and save your setting. The WAP54G only works with the WAP54G, WAP11, WRT54G and WRT54GS. It has been reported to work with the WAG54G. The seven hundred meters is a bit long, you may have to change the antennas on the WAP54G to directional antennas. You may have to use access point client, in that case pick acces point client and do a site survey and select your D-Link and save the setting. You will not be able to access the WAP54G from a wireless device in client mode.
