I have tomato V1.28 and i recently changed my wifi channel from 8 to 14 (i just picked a random channel). After i changed the channel, I could no longer access the internet. Is there a way to fix this? Why did my router just die?

    Pick a channel between 1 and 11.

Ideally 1, 6, or 11, chosen based on the number of overlapping networks (eg. If lots of nearby networks using 1-5, use 11, if lots of nearby networks using 7-11,use channel 1). Use channel 13 only in certain jurisdictions, only if nobody nearby is using adjacent channels, and only if your other hardware supports it.

Moose, check your wifi card, it may not "see" more than channel 11, so reconfigure the router wired and do what Marcel Tunks advises.
