I have telnet turned ON in the settings, but, when I type telnet 192.168.2.1, my routers IP address, nothing happens.

I just want to play around with it.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks!

Telnet runs by default and is accessible on your LAN only, and not externally, so it should be running unless you turned it off. The most likely culprit is a firewall on your pc blocking the attempted connection.

Okay, I seem to have that part fixed. Thanks.

Now, is the login the same as it is for the GUI?

I went to the password section of the Telnet part of the router and set my password, but, the router will not let me in using:

    admin

and then the password that I set in the telnet section. I did make it the same password as my GUI password, but, still, it replies: login incorrect.

    Thanks,
