How do I uninstall the DD-WRT firmware? This thing sucks :(.

I tried this tut here. Didn't work.

Download the proper firmware from Linksys. Make sure you get the right firmware for your router.
Next, do a hard reset on the router (hold the reset button for 30 seconds, OR from the GUI, do a reset to factory defaults.
Next, flash the Linksys firmware in via the GUI taking care not to lose power,
reset or otherwise disturb the router during flashing and for 10 MINUTES after it says it's complete....
leave it alone. After 10 minutes, do another hard reset.
This time it's best to hold the reset button for 30 seconds.
After it boots, open a browswer and browse back to the GUI.
This time you should see the Linksys firmware page,
and your user name and password will have changed to: user name = blank, password = admin. You're done.

When I uploaded/upgraded the firmware (Yes it's the right one), it said firmware upgrade failed.

You should give tomato a try before you give up. dd-wrt can be quite daunting for the basic user.

There really is no uninstall, you just have to upload a different version of software. It sounds like you are doing it correctly, try downloading the correct version again from linksys and then try, perhaps the one you downloaded is corrupt.

Well can you give me better instructons? my Router is a WRT54G v6. And when I upload the "RIGHT" firmware it says firmware upgrade failed.

hi, have you installed a micro/mini version of dd-wrt? did you try changing file extension of official firmware (normally) *.trx to *.bin?
