how do i use RT-AC66U as WAP?

so i have recently got a ubiquiti edgerouter lite. and i plan on using that as my main router.

currently i am just using WAN DHCP, NAT, FIREWALL, and UPNP / Port Forwarding. i am also currently using LAN DHCP on my current isolated test setup (connected to 2 switches and a few computer but not to the main home network yet). the last thing i need to get working on the ERL is QOS.

i would like to use my RT-AC66U as WAP + DHCP, just because the DHCP client is easier to use and no point in moving all my statically assigned addresses over to a new router if i can just keep using RT-AC66U as my DHCP server.

i would have also liked to use UPNP on my RT-AC66U because it has miniupnpd which is much better then linux upnp idg. but i don't think its possible to use upnp on anything but the NAT device, aka router.

i would use the rt-ac66u for the bandwidth limiter if i could aswell but i dont think thats gonna work when i hook it up either. i only use BW limiter not QOS, and it works best for me.

now basically what im getting at

what exactly do i need to do to make an RT-AC66U running shibby 1.28 act as a WAP? what do i need to turn off, on etc?

do i just go to basic settings, network, and at the top under wan internet turn it to disabled or off?
assuming this is what i need to do, will it allow the wan port to be used a lan port?

im about 99.99% sure thats how it works on merlin/stock asus FW when you turn it in AP mode. it would be cool if tomato had a setting to easily switch it from router to AP mode.

if all i need to do is disable the WAN/Internet setting under basic network settings that is pretty simple tho.

really no one knows how to make a tomato router into an AP. i thought this would be common knowledge. i really dont wanna have to switch back to merlin or stock FW just to use my RT-AC66U as a WAP. but i know it will work on those easy no questions asked.

i think i got it working pretty good :D

simply disabling wan under basic network settings did the trick, and just to be safe i went to advanced>routing and turned it from gateway into router. not sure if it makes a big difference or not.
