How Do U Upgrade The Firmware??

    ok i downloaded it from the website and i dont know what to do next ..it says its a .bin file and i dont know what to do,....please help...my router is a WRT54G version 5

    I believe with a v5 the only 3rd party firmware option is dd-wrt mini. As well as there are step by step directions (a how-to) on the dd-wrt wiki. If you need help finding it I am sure someone could locate it for you but with a little looking it shouldnt be hard to find.

    guys Tony is afaik speaking about the Official linksys firmware? to use the *.bin file you need to use the webgui. logon to your router, goto the administration page and then goto the firmware upgrade page. once you are there you can upload the binary file to the router. make sure you do this over a wired connection.

    The 3rd party firmware the guys are talking about requires to to fix the bootloader first of all before uploading a new hacked firmware. more on this here:
