I am trying to "rescue" ext3 files from a NSLU2 USB drive. I've booted Knoppix v5.01 from CD, but in order to browse the LAN I must first install and activate "Lisa" ... would someone kindly walk this Linux newbie through the steps/commands ... thank you.

The easiest way to do it would be to just plug the usb drive into the PC which your using Knoppix on. That way Knoppix should recognise your usb drive and give you access to the files on it. Especially if its etx3 there should be no issue reading the files.

If you need any more help just give me a shout.

    Thanks ... but ...

I was aware of being able to mount a USB drive in Knoppix - but - there are 4 other .ext2 drives in another server that I need Lisa installed to browse via the LAN. Is Lisa that difficult to install and activate? Thanks for the reply.
