How much bandwidth? Tomato/WRT54GS v1.0

I got a letter from my ISP that they change my connection from 3M/512k to 15M/1M in january.

That is great, but I'm getting concerned that my old router maybe won't be able to handle that bandwith, with QOS and firewall script running too.

I have wireless disabled, run QOS with my SIP ATA prioritized, and a firewall script that manages incoming bandwidth.

According to http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/component/option,com_chart/Itemid,189/ my Linksys WRT54GS v1.0 should be able to handle 34Mb throughput, but I guess that is measured without QOS and other stuff loading the processor.

    So now my question is:
Does any of you run Tomato on a WRT54GS v1.0 with wireless disabled, QOS enabled and a bandwidth managing script, on a bandwith at 15 og 15+ Mb without slowing it down?

    I have 15/1 with QOS, it's fine... Don't worry.

WRT54GS v1 handles 20/3 even with PPPoE with no glitches.

    Thanks for the replies.

They were as I had hoped.

Im using a WRT54GL 1.1 with 24/8 cable. I think i can pretty much max it, 2850KB/s - 3000KB/s or so, and that's about as much as i get with other routers.

Have only had it in use for 4 days now, but its been solid thus far (although the memory seems to just vanish).

I just tried to use wlan to locally copy files in about 3MB/s, and at the same time downloading from ftp at about 2800KB/s. But i saw some drops, speed was jumping up/down a little, i think its close to what it can handle, cpu usage was around 70-80%.

That was all without any QoS, havent done much tests with QoS yet.

My line was upgraded to 15/1 today, and the router has no problems with the new speed.
