Hi, I need to know how I can change the antenna of my wag54g because it's not mentionned in the manual.
I need to know if the "High Gain Antenna" HGA7T is ok for my router. It's for "TNC connector" and I don't know which type of connector is on the wag54g...

    Thank you for your help.

The antenna on the WAG54G is not removable, well you can butcher the unit, but then Linksys would say no way to a RMA

if there is no other way to amplify this thing's signal/receiving [if there is, pray, tell me!],i'm going to "butcher" the wag54g.

how do you suggest i do that? is there any schematics that show the internals of the unbelievably-stupidly-built-in antenna ? so that i dont accidentally mess up something important.

I just purchased this reuter a few days ago.
The range seems to be excellent as my brother can use the internet on his centrino laptop with the reuter in the front bedroom of the house and him inside a solid think brick shed (Distance 35-40m, through 5 walls). In the shed his signal strengh goes down but his sppeds are still almost full. Everywhere else in the house the signal strengh is max.

On the other hand I have a PC with a wireless card and only get a good signal at about 10m away. Any furthur and I lose internet connection.

I have ordered a 7dB high gain movable antenna to see if my range can be improved.

Maybe you should try changing the antenna of you network card if its in a desktop PC.
