I am using Linksys WRT54G and its DHCP to assign ip addresses to my client and I am nearing the limit of 254 users. Can I configure to WRT54G to use a Class B IP range, say 172.18.x.x and assign via DHCP more than 254 users?

    Please advise.

i suggest you get another WRT54G instead. For that many users...i can only imagine the throughput.

WOW! that is a lot of users for what is really a home/small buisness router. I would suggest upgrading to a larger cisco router. Sure the linksys can do your wireless for some of your users and maybe a little more but I would suggest setting up a proper DHCP server.

If your running windows I can strongly recommend just using Windows 2000/2003 DHCP server. It comes with it and will do it easily.

If you need help give me a shout, me and my mates M, C, S and E can prolly offer some advice ;)
