    I have a proble connecting this 2 together. My plan is to connect them like this

    ADSL modem <-> BEFSR81 <-- ---> WRT54G

    The BEFSR81 IS set up to obtained IP automaticly from ISP. Tee DHCP is disable. Local IP is

    The Comp1 is set up with a static IP

    This far everything is OK, I can surf the web and so on.
    The question is how I can connect the WRT54G to the BEFSR81.

    The WRT54G shall have DHCP enable and the Comp2 will connect using DHCP. This connection also work fine but i cant ping the BEFSR81 from Comp2 nor can I ping the WRT54G from Comp1

    You need to enable DHCP on the BEFSR81. Disable DHCP and Firewall on the WRT54G

    OKi I will try that. DOes it matter if i have a normal cable or shall I use a CrossOver TP cable between the routers?

    The strange this is that after connecting everything togheter and of cause not using WAN port on WRT54G (has DHCP server disbled) I get an IP assight by DHCP that must come from the BEFSR81 since that is the only one with DHCP Server enabled. But I can't ping the BEFSR81 from my Comp2
