    Dear all,
I have a WRT54G when I had cable internet. Now I changed to ADSL and bought a new WAG354G ADSL modem/gateway. I would like to build a wireless bridge in a room where all my computing stuff can connect to the WRT54G wired. The probelm is: how can I flash my WRT54G? Since I do not have cable anymore I cannot connect it to the cable modem. As the WAG354G is the functional router, it occupies 192.168.1.1, the default IP address. How should I connect the WRT54G? With cable to the WAG354G? Or wired to a computer that is wired to the WAG354G? Or something else? I tried but none of these led to me being able to open up the config web page for the WRT54G. So I cannot flash or change its config. Please help.

Connect directly to the WRT54G with a wired connection to a computer that is not connected to anything else, You may have to manualy configure the wired NIC, Then configure the local address of the WRT54G to 192.168.1.2. You should lose the connection at that point and have to connect to the the new local address. You should reset the WRT54G to factory defaults before do any firmware updates and only through a wired connection. I do not know if the WAG354G can be configured to support a client.
