I have a WRT54G using tomato 1.28. I need a static arp so I can WOL from the net.
    Any ideas????

You can only ARP if you are part of the VLAN. Best solution here is to use OpenVPN with tap, works fine here - if that isn't an option, you can always expose the Tomato GUI to the 'net and use the GUI/router to do the WOL.

Thanks rhester72 for the info. Can you direct me to how I set up the Tomato to do the net GUI thing? Will this be a security risk?

I don;t want to to reflash my router to set up the OpenVPN at this time.

All you have to do is enable Remote Administration (and optionally select a different remote port). It is a potential security risk because if an attacker can successfully guess (or brute-force) your admin password they will have full control of your router, so consider your choice of passwords carefully.
