I'm trying to setup a guest network on my e3000 router, but whenever I enter an IP range that is different from the modem/router (192.186.1.x), I lose the ability to see any machines in that range, which means I lose internet access.

I'm sure this is a simple thing, but I'm really stuck. I created another thread for help, but the people that posted there have not returned, and their advice did not work, so I'm still stuck.

I want a network for my internal LAN (family only access) and another network for guess access to internet only.

thanks in advance for any help with this.
