Hello! Looking for some assistance and advice!

I currently run a wireless network at home with a WRT54GS 1.0 (Linksys firware 3.37) connected to my cable modem. I lose signal about 2 rooms away, where I would like to use my Dell laptop. I have enabled WPA.

I'd like to obtain a signal in the distant bedroom. I would also like to maintain WPA security.

What options do I have? I have seen the WRT54G for cheap...can I use this or modify this to act as a repeater for my Dell wireless laptop? Will other manufacturer's products be a better option?

    Thanks again!!!

    Hi DMack,

    I have read, that the WAP54 has a repeater-function.
You can use this option to increase the range of your WRT54

Look on linksys-side in the internet. There is a documentation of the WAP.

    Greetings from Germany,

    Harry
