How to make my WRTP54G a Router instead of a Gateway

I am trying to accomplish the title. Here is my setup.

    Cable ----- Inside Firewall --------------------- WRTP54G
                        | | \
                Computer 1 Computer 2 Computer 3
I want computer 1 to be able to ping Computer 2. I have a static route in Computer 1 pointing to the WRTP54G for that particular subnet.

In the older Linksys routers, you could select the mode of Gateway or Router (to determine the router functionality). The only thing I see in the WRTP54G is FIREWALL & NAT. If disable that, computer 1 can ping computer 2 and 3, but computer 2 and 3 cannot access any resources on the WAN side of the WRTP54G. If I enable FIREWALL & NAT, Computers 2 and 3 can access everything, but computer 1 cannot access computer 2 and 3. Anyone have any hints on how I can get this done? Maybe a setting in the WRTP54G that I am missing?

    Thanks in advance!
