Not sure if im asking the right question here...

But I've set up my network with a linksys WRT54G ap which I'm directly connected to. My sisters computer is across the hall and her pc has a D-link DWL-G520 adapter with capable speeds of 108mbps. [before i go any further; The internet works and everything. status: excellent] The thing im trying to understand or achieve is...how does my sisters dlink card achieve that "108mbps"? I very rarily see that 108mbps flicker on then just as quickly goes off. So really there is potential, now does any1 know/can help me out how to get that 108mbps to become permanent?

ps. i want to try out that DD-wrt firmware tweak i just dont know how to install it. help?

That card isnt going to actually connect at 108 with that router, its the card trying to figure out a speed with the router.
