I just got a WRT54G which I want to use to network one hardwire mac (OS9) and a new wireless eMac. It says to Run CD FIRST! but everything on the CD except for the pdf instructions are for Windows as far as I can tell. Can I run the setup wizard on a Mac? If not, do I setup manually? I just want to get up and running. I tried searching this forum but the search function seems to add more hits when I use more words to try to narrow down my topic after getting over 500 hits with mac setup.

Answer to Mac Setup and "Run CD First"

Well, I answered my own question after reading for a long time. Way down on p76 of the pdf instructions for the WRT54G in a FAQ list I found the following:

"Will the Router function in a Macintosh environment?
Yes, but the Router’s setup pages are accessible only through Internet Explorer 4.0 or Netscape Navigator 4.0 or
    higher for Macintosh."

It would have been nice if they told us that up at the start of the instructions. With a big "RUN CD FIRST" sticker over the internet ports it kindof makes one think that is what you are supposed to do. In reality for mac users, the CD only seems useful to have a pdf of the manual and setup is done by entering the router address in Netscape or IE and working through the web interface, which basically gives you all the instructions you need for each setting in my opinion.
