The .bin file is the firmware - you upload it to the router.

You have to log into the router, somewhere in the router you will find firmware upgrade. Click on the browse button, find the bin file and click open, then press the upgrade button, don't pull the power or turn off your computer or anything, it will update and then the router should restart or give you some sort of screen telling you it is complete. then just delete the bin file because you are done.

if your router is default try doing this in your web browser

    username root
    pwd admin

goto administration, then firmware aupgrade. click on the browse button, select the firmware bin file and then click on upgrade.

and let it alone. do not interfere with the upgrade process at all.
