I have a WRT54GL and my friend has a WRT54G v2.0 running DD-WRT v23. we both have our own cable connection, however we would like to be able to acess each others networks. How would i go about doing this?
we are a few rooms down from each other, and are unable to run a cable between the rooms. I have been researching wds, but it dosent seem to be what i should use.

Disconnect one of the cable service and setup both routers to use WDS. Split the cable bill and save money. The WDS how to is somewhere in this forum. You can do a search.

hehe, if the router supported 2xwan possibly, or i had a big enough wallet for a better connection.. but no, for practical reasons(i use too much bandwidth) and we both play online games someone else suggested client mode on 1 router and correct subnetting, been a while since i was going to class for my cisco cert, but it sounds about right. And if i must i'll just rely on sneaker net. (lol) dvd's are larger than floppys. Thanks for the suggestion.
