I have a WRT54G V6 that I tried installing DD-WRT on everything went well except that I cannot access the web based configuration page. Everything is lit up properly on the router, I can do a ipconfig and it shows the assigned address and the server address, I can ping it and it responds it shows up on my wife's wireless laptop as a wireless network (but will not access the internet or the configuration page). I have tried the reset button holding it for 30 seconds then releasing the button(as per linksys's instructions). While I have the reset button depressed nothing changes on the front power light it stays lit, the only time it flashes is if I take the power supply loose and then reconnect it. Could there be a problem with the reset switch(is there a way to manually short the reset switch)? I tried to use tftp to reflash it back to the linksys firmware it will popup a window that says "erasing flash this may take a few minutes" or something along those lines but after about 10 secs it goes back to trying to access the router about every 3rd attempt it popup the erase flash message. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to reset this thing?

    Thanks in advance. :)

I have the exact same thing going on. The router even shows up in the wireless networks, and it will connect to it, but it will not acquire a network address.

Yeah mine will connect to it also. I read in on another site about telneting into it with like this:
Telnet into the router using the username "root" and the password "admin".
in the prompt type the following

    cd /www
    httpd -h /www

Try getting into the web interface then and you should be good.

I can telnet into it but still no luck.

    Any suggestions out there

When I telnet i just get a blank telnet window. Doesn't do anything, then eventually says the connection timed out, or something like that. Although oddly enough last night when I was messing trying to get it back, i was looking around for info about it on the internet. I looked over at the other laptop and it said it was connected, and there was no limited connectivity deal either. At that point i was able to actually get into the GUI and it was functioning normal with the exception of no internet. At that time i should have just tried to revert to the original firmware, but instead in my infinite wisdom i reset it. It's been back to doing nothing ever since. One other thing, all the lights are lit like normal except for that big button thing that says cisco on it. Never really figured out what that is for, but its not on, everything else is.
