    HyperWRT 2.0b1 is out! :D Halloween Edition :wink:

    Features in HyperWRT 2.0b1 :

    * Adjustable Transmit Power
    * Antenna Select
    * 13 Wireless Channels
    * 'Boot Wait' flash protection
    * More Port Forwarding/Triggering Fields
    * Uptime
    * Hidden features in the Linksys firmware

    Transmit Power is now a pull-down menu with values in % and dBm, which is less confusing then the misleading mW values.
    New features are 10 added fields for Port Forwarding & Port Triggering.

    As I completely started from scratch with this version, therefore some features like command shell & scripts are not present.

    Download HyperWRT at http://www.hyperdrive.be/hyperwrt/

    Have fun!

    I just installed 2.0b1 on my WRT54G v1.1. It looks good, and works great so far!

    first, thanks for doing such a great job !

    but i have a problem....currently i use the last version of HyperWRT with 23mw transmit power. I have no problems whatsoever and chose to run low for various reasons.

    Now i have to calculate/convert mW into dbM....ok..i just see on your page that the 17% is factory default and 28mW....so i guess i have to use this (even if its 5mW higher than what i have now)

    I prefered entering the mW value there...well just my $0.2

    Edit: nice menus...but less flexibility than what we had before :p

    BUT: I appreciate and like that you added more slots for port-forwarding !! great :)

    Would be nice if someone could test the added 10 Port Forwarding & Port Triggering Fields. Normally they should work, but I only use my wrt54g as access point and can't test it that way :wink:

    :) yeah add some more...i dont think more options there would hurt :)

    btw..another question...Do i need to reset the router (defaults) and can i re-apply my old settings (after the flash) by loading the config-file from HD ?

    Edit: i would test the port forwarding...but i cant..the EVIL :) wife would kick my a$$ if i knock her off the internet right now playing around with the router :)

    A reset to default is optional. Mostly only needed when you switch from sveasoft/wifibox to hyperwrt. But it's just a cleaner way :wink:

    I would not recommand using backup/restore, as it's a potentially dangerous operation (overwrites nvram partition) and loading backup files from older linksys firmware in new one could brick your router.

    If you don't want to retype all your settings it's better to not reset to defaults.

    First, thank you for the firmware, I joined your user community with 1.4 !

    Reading your original post, you mention: "As I completely started from scratch with this version, therefore some features like command shell & scripts are not present. "

    Do you plan it putting it back in the future ?

    These were my favorites features as I was able to change my NAT table (to 4k entries) & check the status of the memory. It was pretty common for me to have uptime of 2-3 weeks & my reboot were done when the memory was maxing (not really saw any perf degradation).

    I really hope you will put them back. Also where can we find a summary a cmd line to set or read some key configuration information (I just found for the NAT and 'free' cmd) ?

    Keep doing the great firmware
