I have a WRT54G upstairs running linksys firmware v.4.20 and a WRT54GL downstairs running HyperWRT +tofu 12. The downstairs router is connected to an xbox and is running in WDS-AP mode in order to add the xbox to the network and strengthen the upstairs signal to the WUSB54G downstairs. Now I know that the router is working as WDS properly because my signal (from WUSB54G) went from almost nonexistant to constantly excellent @ 54mbps. The only problem is that when I connect it says it's receiving limited or no connectivity and I can't access the internet. Before I added the 2nd router with WDS-AP, I could connect to the network and the internet, it was just really slow and often lost the signal. Why has this happened and how do I fix it? Thanks for the help.

EDIT: I used these instructions to set it up.

you don't need to use the command line to set wds up, you can use the gui. check out http://www.hyperwrt.org/forum/viewforum.php?id=13
for more information. Just because your WUSB is getting a good signal doesn't mean WDS is working, it just means it's attached to the Router downstairs.
