    Howdy, gang!

Just registered tonight. I'm on a WRT54Gv2 and am debating going to HyperWRT mainly because I need better logging.

My old BEFSR41 (v 1.0) in conjunction with an old Netgear WAP were crashing too often - ever since I went with WRT54G, all my problems are solved.

BUT the BEFSR41 came with a free download from the Linksys site (I had to DIG for it!) called Log Viewer - pointed BEFSR41 to it, and it stashed my logs on my main workstation with full date/time stamps. I'm guessing it was syslog-compliant, possibly SNMP.

Anyhoo, I'm seeing enough threads about syslog being doable now on HyperWRT and some suggestions for SNMP as well - will HyperWRT work with the old Linksys Logviewer?

Also, is Link Logger (http://www.linklogger.com) worth the bucks?
