Well, before i upgrade my wrt45g to the latest linksys firmwire, i was connectable, but after that i downgraded, tryed forwarding ports 6881-6889 again and nothing, i tried DMZ, Port Triggering, Forwarding and nothing im currently running

    Firmware Version: v3.03.6 - HyperWRT 2.1b1

i've tried everything in order to open ports 6881-6889, and nothing, im still not connectable at all. I have gone to Factory Defaults numberous times and forwarding ports but stil nothing, dont know what is wrong can someone please help me.

So by connectable you are meaning with a program (guessing a bittorrent type of program based of the port #'s) ?

After you have the port forwarded to the PC you are trying to connect with... have you double checked the firewall settings on that PC?

Windows XP won't let you enable the firewall?

I also run windows media center and mine is on... so thats a little strange...
but you have tried enabling UPNP? and tried it disabling?

So you have no firewall what so ever on the PC? What software are you trying to get to connect?

since the upgrade has any of your PCs changed IP? maybe forwarding is working now but is forwarding to the wrong PC as IPs have changed

are you using static IPs for each PC or dynamically assigned by router?

This is the only thing I can suggest... considering you have tired just about everything else that I can see...

Restore to the newest Linksys Official Firmware... after you do that do the hard reset... assign a static IP to the PC you are trying to use.. (make sure its not in use by any of the other pc's that are being assigned by DHCP) put the pc that you just assigned a static IP to in the DMZ, make sure there is NO firewall settings on anywhere (both router & pc). Then test away.

If it still doesn't connect try reinstalling the torret program you are using.. and try again. Other then that i'm all out of ideas.

    same problem

Hey, not sure if anyone figured this out yet. I also am having the same problem, i have tried testing the ports that i forwarded and they are still closed and not conectable. im using a static ip, dmz and everything, even disabled upnp and still it says im not connectable. I dont have a firewall, and i disabled the windows firewall. Iv also tried testing it over the net, and it also says that my ports are closed? how is this possible?

    Any help will be GREAT!
    Thanks

    Rookie question:

UPnP - how would this affect a torrent program? I know what it stands for, but I can't figure what it'd do. Anyway, just trying to make myself a non-informed member.
