I followed all the directions to get this to work. When it is 'wired' everything works like it should. When I try 'wireless' my WRT54G does not see it. This would make it useless since it is needed to be wireless.

The firmware for wps54g is 6049.
The firmware for WRT54G is v2.02.7

Please help as Im going crazy trying to get this to work.

I never thought it would be this difficult to get this work.

Are you using the WPA encryption ?

Did you disconnect the WPS54G from the router and power cycle it after saving all your setting?

Remember the WPS54G does not support both wireless and a wired connection to thw router at the same time. You can communicate to the WPS54G through the router. Wiring it to the router turns off the the wireless connection, so you are using it as a wired print server. So by disconnecting it and power cycling it you activate the wireless connection. I had problems with the firmware version 6049 and went back to the version 6047, which is available at this site.

Sorry, but I'm quite new at this. What does "powercycle" mean?

Disconnect the power supply or unplug the power supply. Disconnect the wired ethernet cable and power the unit back up with the ethernet cable disconnected. If you saved your setting, setup the channel, ssid, the encryption and included the mac address of the WPS54G, if you are using mac address filtering; you the printserver should connect wirelessly. The WPS54G does not allow the use of the wired ethernet connection and the wireless connection at the same time.
