Re: I have a WRT54g 2.2 can i flashing it with HyperWRT 2.0b
Should be no problem
how do you know it's a 2.2 ?
I bought mine 1 month ago, so it's maybe a 2.2 too.
And if it is, hyperWRT is running with no problems
I think it says "WRT54G V2.2" on the sticker on the back.
look like this
i have a v2
Does HyperWRT support WRT54G v1 hardware?
I just got myself an old WRT54G V1.0 and it works just fine.
Thank you.
Is there any tangible advantage to getting one of the newer ones? Fewer LEDs (not an advantage).
newer versions seems to have upgraded hardware such as slightly faster cpu and more ram. also there seems to be small differences between the radio technology being used by the devices. some are created by one company, and the new ones are now being created by another company. sorry i can't tell you more. i'm just learning and reading about all this now.
almost no different between 2.0 and 2.2.
Big difference between 1.1 and 2.0 ... but if you buy one now, it will be at least 2.0 for sure
so what is the difference between 2.0 and 2.2 devices?
i'm interested to know cus i'm gonna be buying one soon and i wanna know if i should buy only a 2.2 or settle for a 2.0 if the price is good
just the ethernet controler ship changed.
Another brand, nothing better i guess.
No reason to wish one specific version.
