i jus upgrade the linksys 54g with the firmware version 2.0

    from the official hyperwrt site and now i cant log into the linksys 54g.....

    my old network setting was 10.1.1.1 // 255.255.255.0

    after i flash it with hyperwrt the screeen success screen pop on. and from the moment on i cant log back into the modem

    with ip 192.168.1.1 or 10.1.1.1 ...

    i tried setting up my computer for auto ip setting and it doesnt work ...

    the light is on and everything...

    Press and hold the reset button on your router to restore the default settings. Your router will have DHCP enabled (so your client PC should automatically obtain an IP address). Go to http://192.168.1.1 and have fun!

    i held the reset button for 5 min .......... and it is still not working.....

    i couldnt auto get the ip so i set the pc to the ip of the default setting which is

    192.168.1.1 for gateway.. my pc setting is 192.168.1.2 .. sub 255.255.255.0

    i jus cant log into the router after the upgrade...... did i fry my router??

    telnet in to the routerand type
    mtd erase nvram
    reboot

    should fix your problem

    how do i telnet into my router if i dont know its' ip??

    is it 192.168.1.1 or is it my old ip which is 10.3.1.1 ??

    i held the reset button for a long time and i couldnt enter into the router with 192.168.1.1 i tried pinging my router and it doesnt respond. how can i telnet into it?

    I would flip the IP back to DHCP on your pc.. Double check your firewall if you have a third party.. make sure you allow 192.168.1.1 ..then restart your computer.. Now try connecting to the router...

    If that doesn't work, try holding the reset in for 30 seconds I wouldn't do 5 minutes... Maybe it didn't take (the previous reset)
