i just got a wrt54g

    Can I just put the Satori-4_0G version of firmware on there and be good to go?

    Indeed, below are a few tips :

    - Use a wired connection to upgrade if possible
    - Never interrupt the upgrade process
    - Do a reset to defaults after the upgrade
    - Have fun :wink:

    Nope everything is the same. Just make sure that you have the correct satori firmware. Sounds like you want the WRT54G and not WRT54GS version of Satori

    I just got it install but when I telnet into it it doesn't let me login?

    is telnet enabled? if so then use logon like so

    login: root
    username: admin

    admin being default pwd, if you have changed the pwd then use that instead.

    i got in but now I can't ping the router or get into it. But I can view ping and view pages outside.
