I/O error

    I recently purchased an NSLU2 and when it works, I like it. However, I am having a very difficult time copying files/folders to the drive. I will start to copy a folder with several gigabytes worth of data. The copy will start with no problem and then after seeral minutes I get the following error message.

    "unable to create or replace 'folder name'. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."

    Any idea as to the cause and/or a cure.

    I had the same problem. It appeared that the hard drive was deffective. Low level format didn't help. Replased it and it was all good after.
