Import Bandwidth Stats from Old Router to New (Tomato)

Just bought a new Netgear WNR3500L router, and wanted to import the bandwidth stats from my old Linksys WRT54GL into the new router. I thought it would be as simple as pointing to the same cifs mount and ensure that the "create new file" option wasn't checked. No dice...when trying to view any bandwidth stats other than realtime it says "rstats failed to start" or something similar.

Once I checked the "create new file" option and clicked save, everything worked fine, but without the old stats.

I still have a backup of the last bandwidth stats file the old router created. Is there any way to import this into the new router via CLI or other?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    bump...can anyone help with this?

i found details about an ipt-parse command, but it didn't seem to exist on the router when I ssh'd in.
