Hey, i am not sure about increasing wireless range. But i got two options.
One is using anthennas, and the other one is using the Linksys Wireless G Range Expander. Which one is better? Should i go for the former or the latter?

I want my range to be increased drastically, that is able to reach a distance of at least 100m with obstacles such as walls.

I am currently living on the 4th floor in a flat, and i want to be able to access the internet on the ground floor. Please give your comments. Very much appreciated.

The range expander comes with some drawbacks. It reduces bandwidth in half, since it has only one radio and has to receive and transmit the packets with its own MAC address. I tis difficult to set up and defeats MAC address filtering and about one hundred dollars is a bit expensive. I would go with directional antennas and/or an increase in power fromacked firmware. The problem with increased power is that it oncreases noise and interference with other access point in the area.
