init.d boot scripts

    I want to add a boot script in init.d but fs is read-only.
    I was looking and trying adding this scripts on /jffs but apparently there is no link from init.d to there. I also tried to run them through cron, but fs on /tmp apparently resets to default on boot because all changes i made were not there anymore.
    So where can i add them to? Or must i compile them directly into the firmware?

    I have another a bit weird question.
    I have WRT54G v2.2 and WRT54GL v1.1. My isp uses wpa encryption to connect to network.
    I succesfully configured the WRT54G to work with that using wpa_supplicant on vlan1 port. But the GL with identycal configuration (i created an image of the WRT54G firmware and put it on the GL) can't connect. All that I managed to find out is:
    - wpa_supplicant on GL apparently cannot detect any traffic on vlan1 port and cannot receive any login request from wpa server.
    - only nvram variables that are different on the two routers are:

    WRT54G:
    vlan0ports=1 2 3 4 5*
    vlan1ports=0 5

    WRT54GL:
    vlan0ports=3 2 1 0 5*
    vlan1ports=4 5

    Tried to change these variables on GL to match those on G, but then vlan1 interface doesn't receive any traffic.

    Any suggestions please? I'm out of ideas and my nerves are starting to decay.

    thanks
